How do I care for my Andy Wolf?
To ensure that you and your Andy Wolf look fantastic together for a long time, we would like to give you a few tips on how to look after them.
Our frames are made from high-quality Italian acetate or first-class metal from Germany. The best way to clean them is with a soft, clean microfiber cloth, which is gentle and grease-dissolving.
You can also clean acetate frames under running water beforehand. It is important that you never use chemical cleaning agents (such as alcohol or acetone) - this will damage the glasses and lenses. When you're not wearing your glasses, it's best to store them in one of our spectacle cases. If you don't have one with you at the moment, put them in a stable, flat place. The glass side should of course always be facing upwards.
Your glasses are in direct contact with your skin. This means they come into contact with cosmetic products, environmental influences and, of course, sweat. As acetate is a natural product made from cellulose, these influences can lead to slight soiling or whitish deposits on the surface. In this case, you can simply visit your trusted optician. Your glasses will be polished there and will look as good as before.
You can also lubricate matt glasses with standard, neutral skin cream. This is good for them.
Our Andy Wolf partner opticians will be happy to help you with any other eyewear issues, for example if your glasses are not well adjusted. You can also hand in your glasses there for an ultrasonic bath. This is quick and cleans the glasses thoroughly. We generally recommend that you take your glasses in for a service once a year.
